POSTION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY This individual will provide sales support for a full spectrum of retail products, with a primary focus on Self Service devices. This person will be the on site escalation point for new product initiatives. This individual will work closely with Sales, Engineering and all aspects of Support. This will be a customer facing position requiring focused accountability and strong personal interaction in potentially stressful situations. . Lead role in the development, support and quality of Self Service Solutions. . This individual will interface to many areas of the business so the must understand Walmart, Engineering, WCS, PS and RDS. This person needs a clear understanding of Self Checkout and the impact to the organizations listed above. . An understanding of networked systems would be very beneficial (familiar with concepts such as TCP/IP, remote access, ftp, routers, firewalls) . Single Point of Contact for Sales support of new products. . Interface between plant and customer to introduce new products, and manage pilots to achieve final acceptance in anticipation of a rollout. . Participate in the drafting of instructions for the support and installation of NCR hardware and NCR application software for the rollout. . Act as NCR representative consulting with major retail customers and NCR site coordinators. . Project lead to help set direction with management of resources and deliverables on SelfServ projects. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS . BS College degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management is a plus . Excellent oral and written communication and customer interface skills . 3 plus years of retail experience. . Able to work independently with minimal supervision. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS . Considerable expertise in on site support of computer rollouts of retail products. . Advanced knowledge of NCR SelfServ Checkout software configuration. . Experience with Windows based systems including; image build, patch and driver updates, diagnostics, etc. . An understanding of Linux would be a plus. . Familiarity with Java, C would be helpful but not a requirement. . Subject Matter Expert in store support and problem resolution. . Available to perform work at any hour with reasonable notice.
